You need a valid NJ motorcycle permit to take the class. Go to motor vehicle and take the written and eye exams to get the permit.Read the motorcycle manual and the alcohol section of the car manual before you go sit for the test. You can download it from this link:http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/pdf/About/mcm996.pdf and the drug section of the car manual:http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/pdf/Licenses/Driver%20Manual/Chapter_6.pdf. A valid permit has written scores, eye exam results, a validation # on the front, and a halogram on the back. You will be sent home if the permit does not have those things on it. You would loose the money for that class and would have to reschedule another class.
